Dr. Jochen Wirtz

Dr. Jochen Wirtz

Jochen Wirtz is Vice Dean of MBA Programmes and Professor of Marketing at the National University of Singapore (NUS). He is also an international fellow of the Service Research Center at Karlstad University, Sweden, an Academic Scholar at the Cornell Institute for Healthy Futures (CIHF) at Cornell University, and a Global Faculty member of the Center for Services Leadership (CSL) at Arizona State University. Previously, Professor Wirtz served as the founding director of the dual degree UCLA–NUS Executive MBA Programme (from 2002 to 2017), an Associate Fellow at the Saïd Business School, University of Oxford (from 2008 to 2013), and a founding member of the NUS Teaching Academy, the university's think-tank on education matters (from 2009 to 2015). He holds a Ph.D. in services marketing from the London Business School. Professor Wirtz is a leading authority on service management with more than 200 publications. His 20+ books include Intelligent Automation: Learn How to Harness Artificial Intelligence to Boost Business & Make Our World More Human (2021), Services Marketing: People, Technology, Strategy (9th edition, 2022), and Essentials of Services Marketing (4th edition, 2023). With translations and adaptations for over 26 countries and regions, and combined sales exceeding 1 million copies, these texts have become globally recognised leading service marketing textbooks. In addition to his publications, Professor Wirtz has been recognised as one of the 86 highly cited researchers in economics and business for 2023 (Web of Science). This distinction places him among the world’s most prominent researchers, as highlighted by the Highly Cited Researchers 2023 list published by data analytics firm Clarivate. In recognition of his excellence in research and teaching, Professor Wirtz has received over 60 awards, including the prestigious Christopher Lovelock Career Contributions to the Services Discipline Award (the highest recognition from the American Marketing Association (AMA) service community), the Academy of Marketing Science (AMS) Outstanding Marketing Teacher Award (the highest global recognition for teaching excellence by AMS), and the top university-level Outstanding Educator Award at NUS. These accolades underscore his profound impact on both academic research and practical applications in service marketing. Professor Wirtz’s ongoing contributions ensure that he remains at the forefront of his field, where his expertise continues to shape the strategies of service businesses worldwide. Dr Wirtz has been an active management consultant, working with international consulting firms, including Accenture, Arthur D. Little, KPMG, and major service firms around the globe. He has also been involved in several start-ups, including Dataswyft (www.dataswyft.io) and TranscribeMe (TranscribeMe.com). Originally from Germany, Professor Wirtz spent seven years in London before relocating to Asia.

Dr. Giampaolo Viglia

Giampaolo Viglia is a Professor of Marketing at the Faculty of Business and Law (part-time appointment). He is also the Research Lead for the Marketing Subject Group, the Editor-in-Chief of Psychology & Marketing (3 ABS) and one of the Associate Editors of Annals of Tourism Research (4 ABS), Journal of Business Research (3 ABS), and European Journal of Marketing (3 ABS and ABDC A*). His research interests revolve around consumer decision-making, pricing, services, including tourism and hospitality marketing. He has published, reviewed and guest-edited for top journals (including Financial Times 50 outlets) in his field, such as the Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science, Journal of Retailing, International Journal of Research in Marketing, Journal of Product Innovation Management and Journal of Service Research (4* and 4 ABS journals in Marketing). He currently sits on the Editorial Boards of Tourism Management (4 ABS), Journal of Service Research (4 ABS), Journal of Travel Research (4 ABS), Journal of Advertising Research (3 ABS), International Journal of Hospitality Management (3 ABS), and Journal of Services Marketing (2 ABS). He is also one of the Associate Editors of Service Industries Journal (2 ABS) and Tourism Review (1 ABS). He enjoys supervising Ph.D. students and early career researchers who aspire to an academic career and have a passion for research. The outcome of such collaborations (i.e., where Ph.D. students are first authors) has appeared in journals like the Journal of Interactive Marketing, Journal of Advertising, Industrial Marketing Management, and Internet Research (3 ABS journals). He was also the Academic Lead of a Knowledge Transfer Partnership with Fresh Relevance, a B2B company focusing on artificial intelligence in Marketing (total value of the bid £221,875). Finally, he has participated in projects financed by the European Commission on food science. Professor Giampaolo Viglia obtained his first PhD in Applied Statistics for Business from the University of Turin (Italy, 2012). He then moved to Spain and obtained a second PhD in Marketing from the Pompeu Fabra University (2015). After working as a Senior Lecturer at Bournemouth University, he was initially appointed as a Reader at the University of Portsmouth in 2017 and later became a Professor and the Research Lead for the Marketing Subject Group. Currently, the Marketing group has 50 outputs of either world-leading or internationally excellent quality (4 or 3 ABS), with a jump of 13 positions in rankings (The Complete University Guide) since 2016.

Dr. Atish Chattopadhyay

Dr. Atish Chattopadhyay

Atish Chattopadhyay is a teacher, fondly called 'Master Moshai' in his native place, Calcutta. He believes that the purpose of education is to instill "curiosity" and build "character." - a philosophy that guides his leadership and pedagogical innovations. An entrepreneur turned academic, Dr. Atish is an educator and institution-builder, his work has shaped some of India's most respected business schools. He is the recipient of the inaugural Y. K. Bhushan Memorial Award for outstanding contribution to management education, instituted by the Higher Education Foundation of India, and the "Legendary Teachers Award" by the Federation for World Academics. Currently the Director of IMT Ghaziabad, Dr. Chattopadhyay has been instrumental in elevating the institute to global prominence. Under his leadership, IMT Ghaziabad made its debut in the Financial Times Global Top 100 in Masters in Finance, a landmark achievement in its institutional journey. He has also driven major initiatives in sustainability, social responsibility, design thinking, and international accreditation —leading the institute through its AACSB initial accreditation process. He has previously held influential leadership roles at SPJIMR Mumbai, MICA Ahmedabad, and JAGSOM Bangalore. As the Founding Vice Chancellor of Vijaybhoomi University, he pioneered a liberal-professional curriculum rooted in the multiple-intelligence model, establishing five schools across diverse disciplines. His pedagogical innovations received global acclaim, featuring in AACSB's "Innovations That Inspire".

Dr. Tat Huei Cham

Cham Tat Huei is an accomplished Professor of Marketing and accredited PhD Supervisor at Swinburne University of Technology (Sarawak campus), an AACSB-accredited institution ranked 291st in the QS World University Rankings 2025. Previously, he served as the Dean of the UCSI Graduate Business School, UCSI University, Malaysia. Internationally, Professor Cham is recognised among the World’s Top 2% Scientists, an honour awarded by Stanford University in collaboration with Elsevier. He also holds several international academic appointments: Adjunct Professor at Korea University (South Korea), Sohar University (Oman), and UCSI University (Malaysia); Visiting Professor at Tashkent State University of Economics (Uzbekistan), Chongqing University of Arts and Sciences (China), Universitas Multimedia Nusantara (Indonesia), and Krirk University (Thailand); and Visiting Research Professor at Symbiosis International (Deemed) University (India). Additionally, he serves as a senior research fellow at the Asia Pacific University of Technology & Innovation (Malaysia), a research advisor at the Co-operative Institute of Malaysia (CIM), and a research associate at Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM). In professional academic service, Professor Cham has been appointed as an Auditor for the Malaysian Research Assessment (MyRA) for Higher Education Institutions under the Ministry of Higher Education, Malaysia. He also contributes as an External Examiner and Assessor for various universities, including Curtin University (Australia), Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM), Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), International University of Malaya-Wales, Sunway University, International Medical University, Universiti Kuala Lumpur (UniKL), Multimedia University (MMU), HELP University, Nilai University, and First City University College, among others. Further, he has been appointed as an Academic Assessor for the Alliance on Business Education and Scholarship for Tomorrow (ABEST21), an accreditation body in Japan. He is also a Certified Trainer for Alibaba.com, the Human Resources Development Fund (Malaysia), and the Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC). Professor Cham actively engages in training, consultancy, and postgraduate supervision, while pursuing research in the areas of marketing, consumer behaviour, business management, tourism and hospitality, service marketing, service industry strategy and operations, technology management, and organisational behaviour.

Dr. Bablu Kumar Dhar

Bablu Kumar Dhar is an Associate Professor of Business Administration (AACSB Accredited) at Mahidol University, Thailand, with over 15 years of international teaching and research experience. His expertise spans Business Ethics, Sustainability, Corporate Social Responsibility, Sustainable Development, Human Resource Management, and Accounting. He holds postdoctoral fellowships in Corporate Social Responsibility from Yantai University, China; Sustainable Development from Universitas Airlangga, Indonesia; and New Technology & Ethics from Mediterranea University of Reggio Calabria, Italy. Dr. Dhar's research addresses global challenges by integrating theoretical frameworks with practical solutions. He has extensively published in top-tier journals, contributing to critical discussions on sustainable business practices, economic resilience, and ethical governance. As an Associate Editor for leading Q1 journals, including Sustainable Development (top 10%, Wiley), Humanities & Social Sciences Communications (Springer Nature), PLOS One (Public Library of Science), and Heliyon (Elsevier), he is dedicated to advancing scholarly discourse in his fields of interest. He is passionate about fostering interdisciplinary collaboration and driving innovation in sustainability and ethics. Dr. Rajesh Mohnot

Rajesh Mohnot is a distinguished academician, corporate consultant, trainer, administrator, and researcher with extensive international experience across Singapore, Malaysia, the UAE, and India. He is currently serving as Professor and Head, at Ajman University, UAE. He possesses strong expertise in international accreditations, particularly AACSB, along with professional academic collaborations. He has successfully delivered numerous training programs, workshops, and seminars for bankers, corporate executives, and academicians in areas such as sustainability, sustainable corporate financial analysis, valuation techniques and strategies, credit risk evaluation and management, sustainable finance for non-finance managers, and sustainable personal financial planning. An active researcher and writer, Dr. Mohnot has authored several articles published in reputed academic and professional peer-reviewed journals, magazines, and blogs. He also contributes to academia as a member of editorial boards and as a referee for scholarly journals. His multicultural professional exposure and industry-oriented financial expertise have established him as a respected figure in finance education, research, and corporate training.

Monica Chaudhary is an experienced professional with over 18 years of experience in research, data analysis, academics, and project management. She is currently serving as Deputy Head of School, Business, at Melbourne Institute of Technology, Australia. She is Adept at developing research designs, questionnaire designing, project management and data visualization for both qualitative and quantitative research studies. She possess a proven ability to provide on-the-job coaching and mentoring to diverse teams and stakeholder management while maintaining an inclusive and innovative work environment. Andrius Jaržemskis is the Founder and Director General of Research Institute Smart Continent and also serves as an Associate Professor at Vilnius University, Lithuania. Kazushi Yamamoto is a President, Society of International Business & Legal Studies. He is a Professor at Tashkent State University of Law, a Fellow of Central Asian Legal Research Fellowship, and an Editorial Board Member of Tashkent State University. He promoted the Global COE Project of Nagoya University, funded by the Govt. of Japan and conducted his int’l collaborative research with the Director of Kennedy institute of Ethics of Presidential Kennedy Family of Georgetown University, as a Visiting Researcher KIE and a University Researcher of Georgetown University itself. As a Special Lecturer at Nagoya University, GSL, he contributed to the establishment of a Law School, as well as the global Legal Assistant project of Japan. He stationed in the Republic of Uzbekistan at Ministry of Justice and taught as Lecturer of Japanese Law at Tashkent State University of Law and Nagoya University Education and Research Center for Japanese Law within TSUL. He has delivered many speeches at int’l symposiums such as those organized by the United Nations and has published works through int’l organizations like the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE). Having worked on his doctoral dissertation, Yamamoto participated as an integrator in the COI Project of Govt. of Japan led by the President of the University of Tokyo. He is also actively involved in management roles in some corporations. He is now preparing to publish worldwide with publishers such as Cambridge University/International Press, Routledge, TSUL, The Japanese Institute of International Business Law, and others.

Atul Parvatiyar is a professor of practice of marketing at Rawls College of Business at TTU. He is a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) and the Direct Selling Education Foundation (DSEF). He received a 2020 Professing Excellence Award of Texas Tech. He is an ambassador and mentor for start-ups at TTU Innovation Hub. Atul is a recognized thought leader and highly cited author of many academic articles and books on relationship marketing, CRM, marketing theory and sustainability. His academic publications have received more than 10,600 citations per Google Scholar. Previously, Atul taught at the Goizueta Business School of Emory University in Atlanta, where he won the MBA Teaching Award and was associate director of the Center for Relationship Marketing. He has been a visiting professor to Johannes Kepler University (Austria); Norwegian School of Economics & Business; S.P. Jain School of Global Business in Dubai and Singapore; University of Georgia; University of Colorado; and IIM Indore & IIM Lucknow in India. Prior to joining Texas Tech in 2018, Atul spent more than 15 years in an entrepreneurial role as founder and CEO of Institute for Customer Relationship Management (iCRM), with offices in USA, UK, India, Malaysia & Singapore. He is a technopreneur and an experienced consultant in global strategies. His clients have included such companies as Allstate, Bank of America, Bose, Coca-Cola, Celcom, Cellcard, CIMB Bank, City of Atlanta, Colonial Pipeline, Federal-Mogul, Japan Tobacco (JTI), Kimberly-Clark, Kuok Group, Levi‘s Strauss, Mavesa, Milliken, Nautilus, Panasonic, Panacea-Biotec, Piramals, PRGX, Reynolds Consumer Products, Shoppers’ Stop, Siemens, Telekom Malaysia and Toyota among others. Mark Peterson

Dr. Peterson received his Ph.D. in marketing from Georgia Tech in 1994 and joined the UW faculty in Fall 2007. He worked as a quantitative research analyst in the marketing research industry for two years after graduating from Georgia Tech before beginning his academic career at the University of Texas at Arlington in 1996. At UT-Arlington, Dr. Peterson developed the qualitative research course for students in the Master of Science in Marketing Research program. He taught this course for ten consecutive years. In these ways, Dr. Peterson brings a rare versatility to research design issues. He has extensive experience using quantitative, as well as qualitative approaches. Dr. Peterson is the author of the SAGE Publications book Sustainable Enterprise: A Macromarketing Approach www.sustainabilitysage.com. He currently serves on the editorial policy board for the Journal of Macromarketing and was elected to be the editor of the Journal of Macromarketing beginning in January 2016. Dr. Peterson was a Fulbright Scholar at Bilkent University in Ankara, Turkey in 2006. He has also taught as a Senior Fulbright Lecturer for the US State Department in Damascus, Syria, in UTA's Executive MBA program in Beijing, China, at Southern Methodist University, and at Ecole des Hautes Études Commerciales de Montréal. During the 2014 - 2015 academic year, he was a visiting professor at Wake Forest University.
